Why we launched a referral program

We regularly get feedback from users about how much you value Origin, and how you’d like to be able to share this tool with your loved ones. Well, you asked, we answered: Now, Origin members can easily refer their friends and family to the product. 

How it works 

For every new user you refer, you’ll get $25 in membership credit and a month of boosted APY in our new Cash Management Account when they become a subscriber. That’s a year free for every four friends who join Origin—plus, four months of earning a higher rate on your cash. Terms apply. 

When your friends join Origin, they’ll earn 25% off their annual plan and a month of boosted APY if they open and fund a Cash Management Account within 30 days. (The discount and boosted APY do not apply if they sign up for a monthly plan.)

FAQs

Is there a limit to the number of people I can refer?

No, you can refer as many people as you’d like, for as long as you’d like. 

Is there a limit to the benefits I can earn? 

You’ll get $25 in credit for every user you refer who signs up for a paid subscription, and there is no cap. However, the boosted APY on your Cash Management Account maxes out at six months. See terms and conditions here.

What can I use the credit for? 

The credit can only be applied to your membership fees, but you can use it for both monthly and annual plans. Credit will automatically be applied at your next subscription renewal.

Where can I access my referral codes?

You can access your unique referral link right in Origin in your profile. There, you’ll see your Referrals Hub, where you can share your unique link and view your earned rewards. 

Do my referral codes expire?

Nope. If you send one out tomorrow, and your friend doesn’t activate it for a while, you’ll still be rewarded when they become a paying member.
